Half term fun days

Beat the holiday boredom with one of our activity days, jam packed with hands on activities and experiments. All days are run by highly trained Fun Scientists with enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) checks and first aid training. This half term all days will be held at the Ascension church hall, Claude Avenue, Bath. We have decided to split the groups by ages to ensure the younger children get the help and attention they need and that the older children are able to delve deeper into science, however, our age ranges are guidelines only. If you have siblings in different age groups or feel your child would enjoy and older/younger day more, please feel free to send them to the day(s) you feel will suit them best.

Monday 17th February: 10am–3pm / 9am–5pm Bugs, beasts and bodies (Recommended for children aged 4-7)

On this day we will be getting up close and personal with living creatures. We will make an ant farm, plant seeds to take home, find out our lung capacity and more!

Tuesday 18th February: 10am–3pm / 9am–5pm – Things that go! (Recommended for children aged 4-7)

Wednesday 19th February: 10am–3pm / 9am–5pm – Science extravaganza (Recommended for children aged 4-11)

This day is a mix of all our favourite science – chemical reactions, colour changing liquids, sherbet, slime, volcanoes and much more!

Thursday 20th February: 10am–3pm / 9am–5pm Bugs, beasts and bodies (Recommended for children aged 8-11)

Friday 21st February: 10am–3pm / 9am–5pm Things that go! (Recommended for children aged 8-11)

"Amelia really loved the day. Thank you for all your hard work. Amelia loved learning about and making the circuit and the Van de Graaff Generator, the best. But generally had a fab day"
-Parent of a child attending one of our Christmas holiday activity days

We also offer an early drop off/pick up service from 9am-10am and 3pm-5pm. During these supervised play times children will play games and have access to science toys, colouring pages, worksheets, wordsearches and horrible science magazines. This is also a great time for children to bring any books or toys they would like to show the scientists/other children. Early drop off/stay and play is charged at £2 per child per hour.
