  2. Blakesley Hall- This  is a free museum and art gallery which is open 7 days a week. Giving children the chance to learn more about the past and history of Birmingham in 9 different zones which have been designed to entertain and encourage engagement. Learn new things, get involved in dressing up and spend quality time with your children- a great family day out for children of all ages! 3.Nature Reserves- Park Hall/Deer’s Leap Wood- Beautiful scenery, wildlife and woodlands will provide you with the perfect opportunity to spend quality time with your family. Why not take a picnic in the Spring or Summer- giving you the chance to admire the blossoming flowers including Bluebells ans Woodland flowers. In the Summer the air is filled with dragonflies and butterflies making the scenery even more spectacular.   4.BBC Public Space at the Mail Box- This is a great free family activity which is home to popular shows of Birmingham such as Midlands Today. This attraction is FREE and if you are lucky enough you will get to see some of the famous presenters in action. There is also an interactive area giving children and parents the chance to be a real presenter for the day by reading the News or Weather. There is a souvenir shop on sight and they also offer Tours of the BBC studious for an additional fee.

5.Weoley Castle- Take a trip to Birmingham to see the ruins of the famous 700 year old castle which is said to be once an old Manor House. See the ruins for free and give your children the opportunity to learn more about the history of the ancient castle from the viewing platform. If you are also planning to take a trip to the Museum in Birmingham look out for artifacts that have previously been found at the  Weoley Castle sight including glass from Syria and kitchen equipment. Learn something new and take a trip to the castle today!
