Workshops about Time

This year’s British Science Week theme is Time. We are able to provide a range of different workshops exploring time including our human body workshop which looks at time and speed in the context of heart rates changing and food moving through the body, eco-science workshops which explore how the earth may look in many years time and our potions workshops which look at reactions and how they change over time. All workshops are suitable for primary, infant and junior schools and for SEN and SEMH schools.

Best bits workshops

Our best bits workshops are perfect for showing children just how much fun science can be. We often include a rocket launch, chemical reactions, slime making and hair raising on our van de graaff generator. These workshops can also be adapted and we can replace activities with whatever you feel would suit your school best. All workshops are suitable for primary, infant and junior schools and for SEN and SEMH schools.

Topic based workshops

Get to grips with a topic with a fully practical workshop arranged and delivered by one of our highly trained scientists. All our scientists are fully trained and will use our range of exciting equipment to make your topic come to life in the classroom. Workshops are generally run for a whole class for one hour but classes can be combined to fit your budget.

We currently have a range of pre-prepared workshops available to cover the following themes.

  • Human body
  • Science of sweets
  • Chemical reactions
  • Electricity
  • Senses
  • Weather
  • Explosions
  • Colours
  • Mini robot building
  • Physical reactions
  • Forensics/crime scene investigation
  • Magnetism

If you are studying a topic that is not listed above please do let us know. We have been running sessions for many years now so have the equipment available to deliver most topics. All workshops are suitable for primary, infant and junior schools and for SEN and SEMH schools.
