Fun Science Dorset runs hands on science sessions for home educated children in Weymouth and Poole. Activities are influenced by what the children want to study and past topics have included chemical reactions, forces, pressure, the human body, electricity and much more.

Weymouth

Sessions run in Weymouth every other Wednesday morning. Sessions are available for 2 different age groups – 6-10 years (mixed hands on science topics) and 11-14 years (KS3 science curriculum). The price is £8.50 per child and £6 for siblings (subject to minimum numbers being reached and places booked in blocks). Poole

Sessions run in Poole town centre every other Thursday morning. Sessions are available for 5-7years, 8-10 years (mixed hands on science topics) and 11-14 years (KS3 curriculum). The price is £8.50 per child and £6 for siblings (subject to minimum numbers being reached and places booked in blocks). New venues

If you are a home educator based up to 25 miles from Weymouth and you are looking for
regular hands on science sessions for your child/children, then we would love to hear from you! All
we need is a group of at least 10 curious children and a venue (either a home or a hired hall) then we
will provide everything else. We will then work with you and your children to come up with topics
