St Andrews, Bristol Summer Holiday Club 2025
Fun Science is back this Summer with some more FUN science! Days are suitable for children aged 4-9* and all sessions are OFSTED registered and have a first aider on site.
This club will be held on the 29th to 31st July, and 19th to 21st August, from 10am – 3pm at Scout Hut 6388, St Bartholomew’s Road, Bristol, BS7 9BJ. We also have sessions running on the 12th – 14th August in Fishponds, Bristol. Fishponds sessions
There will be optional ‘stay and play’ hours from 9am-10am (£3.50 per child per hour). This needs to be booked in advance.
We are able to accept tax-free childcare and childcare vouchers.
Fun Science provides high quality childcare in the majority of school holidays. We are 5* rated, first aid trained with enhanced DBS checks and a full safeguarding policy.
Tuesday 29th July – Our Brilliant Bodies!
Aren’t our bodies fascinating? This day is all about understanding how the human body works, expect lots of ‘ewwww’s as we look at our digestive and immune systems, organs and much more.
Wednesday 30th July – Potions & Explosions Calling all trainee witches and wizards! Have you ever wanted to mix up your own potions and create experiments that look like magic? We will be making smelly potions, glittery potions, experiments that suddenly change colour and lots and lots of fizzing and bubbles. Thursday 31st July – Rockets & Cars This day is all about movement and engineering. Children will be launching rockets, learning about fascinating forces and creating self-powered cars, trying to improve our designs and inventions along the way! Tuesday 19th August – Under the Sea Join us under the sea and learn all about the ocean! We will be discovering weird and wonderful creatures, exploring the different layers of the ocean, making wave bottles and much more. Wednesday 20th August – Volcanoes & Earthquakes Children will build their own volcanoes while also learning how real volcanoes erupt and what causes an earthquake. A great session for children who like really big eruptions and fizzing, bubbling potions. Thursday 21st August – Bubbleologists! We will be becoming bubble experts, not just blowing bubbles, but making colourful bubbles, fizzing bubbles, bubble snakes and more! These dates are now fully booked, but spaces are still available 12th, 13th & 14th August at our Fishponds club! Prices: First child: £32.00 per day or £168.00 for all 6 days Siblings: £28.00 per day or £150.00 for all 6 days Optional – £3.50 per child per “stay and play” hour (Available from 9am-10am) *We are able to accept children from age 4+, providing they are able to go to the toilet and, if needed, get changed by themselves. We do not have the capacity to provide 1:1 care and as such are not able to assist with toileting. In the event of a toileting accident, children will need to be able to get themselves changed. If you have any questions about this policy please do get in touch as we are happy to discuss individual cases. 10 year olds are welcome to join if you think they would enjoy it.
