Free Assemblies
Fun Science offers free 15 minute assemblies to primary schools based up to 20 miles from one of our branches. Schools can chose from ‘Electricity’, ‘Chemical Reactions’ or a combination assemblies. We love getting children interested in science and provide a number of services for schools including our five week after school program. We hope that if you see how excited and engaged your students are during our assembly, you will consider hosting the program (which is no cost to the school). If, after the show, you decide the club is not for you – no problem! Your students will have received an experience they may otherwise have missed out on and that is enough reward for us.
After School Programme / Extra-Curricular Activities
We offer a range of action packed after school programs for primary school students. Each program is taught for an hour a week by a highly trained Fun Scientist in a room on site at your school. These programs are also suitable for home education groups.
In School Workshops
Get to grips with a topic with a fully practical workshop arranged and delivered by one of our highly trained scientists. All our scientists are fully trained and will use our range of exciting equipment to make your topic come to life in the classroom. Workshops are generally run for a whole class for one hour but classes can be combined to fit your budget.

- Mini robot building
- Physical reactions
- Forensics/crime scene investigation
If you are studying a topic that is not listed above please do let us know. We have been running clubs for many years now so have the equipment available to deliver most topics.
Inset Day Training
Fun Science is available for staff training for teachers and teaching assistants working in EYFS/KS1/KS2 primarily in the Bath and Bristol area but with the option to travel further afield in some cases. Fun Science is able to demonstrate simple experiments to your staff and to help them link them with curriculum aims. All sessions include hand outs and contact details for future advice and support.
Fun Science works yearly with the pre-school alliance, delivering training to a range of pre-school practictioners to help them to carry out fun, age-appropriate and risk assessed science activities and experiments with the children in their settings. Fun Science also provides advice and training to primary schools.
